query_posts() is the easiest way to alter the default query that WordPress uses to display posts. Use query_posts() to display different posts than those that would normally show up at a specific URL.

For example, on the homepage, you would normally see the latest 10 posts. If you want to show only 5 posts (and don’t care about pagination), you can use query_posts() like so:

Spark Logix Studios was hired to develop a custom designed website to sell a product. We developed a secure, eCommerce platform giving the author ability to easily update products, listings, sales prices, and shipping. In addition to eCommerce the design and development included an easy to use blog and page CMS. With no experience needed the client could login and add blog posts, change pages and content. Since development of the site the client has made many changes and continues to update content and add products.

Some of the biggest developments for the site were the creation and integration of an affiliate platform and multi-site user access and blog creation. Through development Spark Logix Studios integrated an affiliate platform allowing resellers the ability to earn commissions off sales generated by click-throughs on links generated on the site. The multi-site integration allows users to create sub blogs using a sub-domain on the site. New users are able to have their own Spike Diet login, dashboard, and blog.

Wright County Soccer

Spark Logix Studios created a fully functioning athletic league platform allowing multiple users with specific access rights, an online solution to paying registration fees, integrated calendars plus much more.

Wright County Soccer needed more from their website. The previous design was outdated and the back-end for updating content was too difficult to use. Spark Logix created a completely new, simple to navigate design structured to help parents and athletes keep track of news and events within the league and team.

The newly updated Wright County Soccer website is a custom developed and designed theme (website) by Spark Logix Studios specifically built for athletic leagues. It’s easy for multiple users to create new pages, updates, calendar events and so much more. Each user may have specific rights. An example: the treasurer and specific board members can access the store located within the dashboard, coaches cannot. Coaches have access rights to their pages only.

The registration is not third party. It can be created and managed by the league with no third party fees! It’s integrated within the dashboard and system settings created by Spark Logix Studios. It’s easy for the board directors of Wright County Soccer to update information, keep the calendar fresh, accept payment and much much more.
