Dental Office

When we were hired to rebuild a Dental Office website, we also found that they were running an AdWords campaign centered around Emergency Dental visits. They would run the ads most of the day, in an attempt to fill open appointment slots with potential new clients. They had setup the campaigns on their own, after watching a few videos on youtube, and had made occassional tweaks to their keyword lists, but did not do much optimization beyond that.

What we did:

After looking at the landing page, we knew the content would need a more clear call to action to improve their conversion rate. We asked them to write some keyword dense content for the two major topics they wanted to rank for, emergency tooth extractions and emergency root canals, and added several additional calls to action on the page. We then weeded out a lot of unrelated keywords, and switched them to the correct bidding method. We took advantage of several ad extensions they did not know about, as well as rewriting the ad content to better target their keywords. We also recommended they not run the campaign all the time, but only unpause it for a few hours before their open appointments, to reduce their unnecessary spend.

What were the results?

  • With the improved ad score, their Cost per Click dropped from an avergage of $23.16 to $4.11!
  • During the previous six months, they had seen only 203 clicks. With the new campaign, in the first month of our campaign they had 207 clicks.
  • Their click-through rate jumped from 0.54% to 5.76%
  • Most importantly, during their first month, they booked 12 new emergency appointments, which for them means 12 new patients to their roster, with recurring revenue!
  • With their previous campaign, they were spending upwards of $150 per day with very few real leads coming in, and almost no appointments booked. With our campaign and ongoing management, they are seeing better results at a fraction of the cost. The average daily spend for their first month was $17!

Online Blog & eBook Sales

This Client is a popular food blog. They wanted to leverage their web popularity by selling an eBook through their website. The goal of the AdWords campaign was to maximize the number of conversions, while minimizing the cost per each conversion. This required strategic thinking when it came to bidding, analysis of their target market and competitors, and ensuring that the ad scores were as high as humanly possible. The keywords they were going after were high competition, so striking the balance between conversions, eBook pricing, and CPC was a difficult one.

What we did:

After doing exhaustive keyword research, we found the low hanging fruit: long form keywords that had a good amount of monthly searches in google, but that were low on competition. We then wrote extremely targetted ads, with a bidding method to maximize their conversions while keeping them within the target price range for each sale. This obviously necessitated careful monitoring, as well as precise conversion tracking through the website.

What were the results from Q1 of 2018?

  • 544 Conversions! That means 544 direct sales of the eBook, through their website over the course of 3 months.
  • 95,800 clicks, with an average Cost-per-Click of $0.04!
  • An incredibly high Click-through-rate of 6.15%!
