Creating Your New Post

You’ll first want to create a title for your new blog post. This is important to the search engines (like Google). This is one of the major factors in letting search engines know what the blog post is about.

Also, make sure your new blog post title is written in way that’s interesting to your target audience.

Creating Your Title for a WordPress Blog Post

Next, you’ll create your content for the page. Here you’ll typically write content and add images.

If you have a WordPress website with built in Gutenberg Blocks you’ll want to use them to make the content flow better and be more engaging for your readers.

Best Practices for a Blog Post

Good Content

Make the content easily scannable by the reader. Make it easy for them to find what they’re there for. To do this make sure you use titles, short paragraphs and lists and make important points stand out. Here’s an example:

Organized Content in Blog Posts
Use Headers

Add headers and sub-headers appropriately (to do this you’ll highlight the text you plan on making a header, then select H2-H6). Tip: never more than one H1 on a page (the H1 will be your title).

Title and Meta Description

Add Categories
